Whats Happening and Where

Scotter Hares

Scotter Hares Running Club was founded in September 2010 to bring all the many lone runners in Scotter together to form a group. The initial response was fantastic and already they have 33 members of all ages and running standards.

Next social night is ourt 1st birthday celebration quiz night on Saturday 1st October 2011 at the Gamekeeper.  All are welcome.

At 12 noon on Saturday 3rd December 2011 we take part in our 2nd annual Santa Dash.  This is an informal fun run for the Hares around the village.  It will done clad in Santa outfits and least we know the weather can't be as bad as the snows of last year.

We train 2 nights a week - there are several groups of different running abilities.

MONDAY         Night @ 6.30pm meeting at the Gamekeeper Car Park in Scotter.

WEDNESDAY  Night @ 6.30pm meeting at the Gamekeeper Car Park in Scotter.

The Hares have a 2.5 mile lap around the perimeter of Scotter.  The more energetic runners follow a 6 mile circuit which goes into Scotton, out towards Kirton then back into Scotter along Kirton Road.  The shorter lap might take up to 30 minutes and the longer one near an hour.
